Royal County Down Golf Club, Ireland

Today there are people who say that the Royal County Down - is in the U.S. the most difficult golf course in the world along with the Pine Valley.
Even though that this opinion is largely subjective, Royal County Down, located along the Bay of Dundrum Bay, in the shadow of Mount Mourne, can safely be called one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. The local landscape is a classic blend of hills, plains, water and human settlements. On clear days, views up to the Isle of Man, on a remote 64 km to the east. The records of the club, this field in 1889, created a famous golfer 4 pound Old Tom Morris. After some improvements and rearrangements field has everything that a golfer can only dream of: the narrow hilly fairways and small greens, constantly changing its strength and direction of the wind, the huge, hidden and heather unexcited dunes, which, depending on the season are changing their color from the glowing soft yellow to purple. And as with every significant golf course in County Down his own handwriting: it very special, unique bunkers at the sides, overgrown with reeds. Add to "blind" attacks, which sometimes have to resort because of the complexity of the landscape, and it becomes clear why this field is referred to as "charming, but eccentric."
