Cypress Point, USA

In the very south of the peninsula of Monterey in California is an exclusive golf club Cypress Point.
Location of the opened in 1928 field that is located at the foot of Santa Lucia, near his "older brother", the fields Pebble Beach - as a fairy tale: the mighty cypress are among the fairways and greens, and just outside the field of noising and foaming Pacific Ocean, constantly attacker the coastal cliffs. Architect Mackenzie has resisted the temptation to place the holes there, offering the most spectacular views. Instead, he made a spectacular landscape element in its field. McKenzie turned his attention primarily on the greens. Since the length of the field in a small (5.95 miles), he gave his numerous turns and bends with special slopes, taking away in the direction of the ball (breaks). So what is the first such site to deal with the real hill.
Today, Cypress Point is one of the most exclusive private golf clubs in the world. Its only 250 members come from all U.S. states and from abroad. But this field does not become less attractive to golfers from all over the world.

Royal Melbourne Golf Club, Australia

In 1891 the Scottish settlers founded in Australia the golf club Royal Melbourne Club. Not surprisingly, it feels strong influence of Scottish club Royal & Ancient Club of St. Andrews.
Dune landscape of this field is much like a typical Scottish Links Course. So named the very first golf course, which were located on poor, unsuitable for either agriculture or for pasture, interspersed by dunes landscape, linked the coast and farmland. Initially, the field of club Royal Melbourne consisted of two fields of 18 holes on each: the West, designed by Alistair Mackenzie, and the East, which has equipped the Alex Russell. In the 1950s, the two fields combined, and in 1959 the total field was inaugurated on the occasion of this World Cup. The world community was delighted. Green fields of this wild, wrinkled and studded with obstacles bunkers require the player to all forces. Experts do not tire of praising short-cropped grass of the field. A remarkable feature of Royal Melbourne is thoroughness with which were dug bunkers. There's nothing like a sterile meticulousness with which the bins are equipped with modern golf courses. Bunkers at Royal Melbourne are wild, unpredictable and incredibly greedy.

It’s just the most famous golf course. This perfect golf course was created by nature and is considered the cradle of the game, every fan of a golf should make the pilgrimage here .
If you believe the legend, on the grassy sites, among the dunes and sand barriers people play golf for over 500 years. All the stars of golf, with the exception of Ben Hogan, passed through a small stone bridge that leads across the creek Swilcan to the 18th green. And they beheld the clubhouse Royal & Ancient, whose white stone facade has been restored several years ago, stands in front of the first and last holes. In general, a feeling that here, in the Old Course, time stands still. The design of the field created by Mother Nature herself: here are a few hilly fairways with few elevations, and if a player wants to gain a good score, he will bypass the numerous sand traps (bunkers), specially made on the field in order to complicate the task of golfer: after all, to hit the ball of them is very difficult. Most of the bunkers hidden from the eyes of the player, so, you have pretty sweat, to finally get the ball into the hole.
